The BBA program is a four-year bachelor-level academic program of Pokhara University, consisting of 8 semesters, each of 24 weeks' duration. A student needs to successfully complete 126 credit hours of coursework, project work, and internships for graduation. The course is designed to prepare business graduates with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and motivation to take on challenges in business operations, management, and entrepreneurship in the competitive landscape of the modern era. This is further enhanced by intensive internships, which provide real-world exposure in various national and international organizations. Additionally, the program fosters an entrepreneurial mindset, encouraging graduates to innovate and establish their ventures. As a further study option, BBA degree holders can pursue master's degree programs in management (MBA, MBS, MIM, MTTM, MHM), information systems (MCA, MIT, Library Science), or related fields.

Prerequisites:

The candidates should have a higher secondary or equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized board or university & securing at least 'C' grade in each subject or second division(45%) from the board or university recognized by Pokhara University.

Summer Project & Internship:

The BBA students are required to undertake a project work in the Sixth Semester. As per the old curriculum, the internship program is conducted in the Seventh Semester, whereas the new curriculum schedules the internship program in the Eighth Semester.

To enroll in the BBA program at OCEM, you need to meet the following criteria:

 

Educational Background: You should have completed your higher secondary education or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.

Minimum Grades: You need to have secured at least a 'D' grade in each subject or a second division (45%) overall.

Admission Requirements for BBA Program

Applicants seeking admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration program are required to submit the following documents:

Completed Application Form: Fill out and sign the application form provided by the college or complete the online application as instructed.

Educational Documents: Submit attested copies of all relevant academic certificates and transcripts.

Photographs: Provide two recent passport-sized photographs.

 

Admission Process

  1. Admission opens once a year during the August session.
  2. Applicants must complete all admission formalities, including the payment of required fees, to secure enrollment.
  3. Incomplete applications or those missing necessary documents will not be processed.
  4. Provisionally admitted students under special conditions must submit all required documents within one month of the commencement of regular classes, failing which their admission may be canceled.

Entrance Examinations:

  1. The college conducts entrance examinations for fee-paying applicants.
  2. The Scholarship Committee of Pokhara University conducts entrance examinations for scholarship applicants.
  3. A provision of upto 100% scholarship is available for deserving candidates based on the scholarship exam results and financial status.

 

Evaluation Criteria for BBA Program

The evaluation for the BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) program at Pokhara University is based on a mix of exams, assignments, and behavioral aspects. The total evaluation is out of 50 marks and is allocated as follows:
